Biography

Amanda Holland is an Assistant Professor of Practice for Family and Consumer Sciences Education in the College of Human Sciences. Previously, she was an assistant professor and teacher educator at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky.

Over her nearly 15-year tenure in education, Holland has taught at both the secondary and post-secondary levels.

Research Interests or Areas of Expertise include:

  • Recruitment and retention
  • Self-efficacy of teachers and their persistence in the profession
  • Creating a sustainable pipeline to the FCS profession
