Biography

Dawn Lindsley serves as an assistant professor of practice in family & consumer sciences in the College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, a role she has held since 2024. Prior to this position, she was a state career & college readiness educator with Nebraska extension–4-H from 2019 to 2024 and served as the Assistant State Director of Career & Technical Education for the Nebraska Department of Education from 2018 to 2019. Earlier in her career, Lindsley was the accreditation manager for Oklahoma’s technology centers with the Oklahoma Department of Career & Technology from 2013 to 2018 and taught family & consumer sciences while advising FCCLA in four Kansas school districts from 2002 to 2013.

In addition to professional roles, Lindsley is actively engaged in leadership at both the state and national levels. She currently serve as the program coordinator for the National ACTE Leadership Fellowship and as board secretary for Nebraska Educational Service Unit #7. She has also served as a member of the National FCCLA Board of Directors, participating in the board chairmanship rotation, and as executive director for the Kansas FCCLA Educational Foundation, Inc.
