Biography

Faith Marlow is the Director of the Child Development Laboratory School at Iowa State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies in 2025, with a focus on early childhood development, caregiver–child relationships, and social-emotional development. She has studied child development since 2015 and has taught undergraduate courses in human development. Marlow's professional experience includes approximately four years as an early childhood classroom teacher, as well as work related to early childhood home visiting programs. Her teaching emphasizes connecting theory to practice through observation, reflection, and the immediate application of research in real-world early childhood settings.
