Biography
Lacey Roberts-Hill is an assistant professor in the Department of Agricultural Education and Communications.
Roberts-Hill teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in the department including web design and knowledge management and data visualizations. She is excited to expand her teaching efforts into new and existing courses in the department. In 2020, she was awarded the Association of Former Students Distinguished Graduate Student Award for Excellence in Teaching from Texas A&M University.
Roberts-Hill’s research interests include visual communications and the establishment of visual literacy metrics. She is interested in how consumers take in and process visual communication messages. Additionally, she is interested in international agricultural development communication. She has a rich background in international agricultural development and likes to study how agricultural development programs communication amongst themselves and to the public.
Beyond research, Roberts-Hill enjoys serving the field of agricultural communications. She is the President of the National Agricultural Communications Symposium and the Global Engagement Chair for the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture Association.
A native of the Texas panhandle, Roberts-Hill grew up in Gail, TX. She received her B.S. in agricultural media and communications from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, TX. She earned her M.S. degree from Oklahoma State University in international agriculture with a focus on Extension education. She earned her PhD in agricultural leadership, education, and communications from Texas A&M University while also completing a certificate on non-profit management from the Bush School of Government.
She and her husband, Kyle, are the proud parents of Maeve.
