Biography

Tommy Stephenson serves as the Director of Undergraduate Programs and senior lecturer within North Carolina State University's Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering. He is dedicated to providing hands-on learning experiences, teaching vital courses such as shop processes, agricultural electrification, surveying, and machine systems within both the biological engineering and technology curriculums. 
Stephenson also guides students through their Capstone project and a dedicated professionalism course. As alumnus of NC State, Tommy holds a bachelor's degree in biological and agricultural engineering technology and a master's degree in crop and soil sciences. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. at NC State, where his research contributes to the field of cotton nutrient management. Beyond his academic roles, this North Carolina native is actively involved in his local community, managing a beef cattle operation on his farm with his wife.
